Description: Likely 1:1 Spectacular Circa 1934 Goudey Knot Hole League of America Special Baseball Premium with Original Goudey Gum Co. Linen/Cotton Bag. Extensive research revealed that this baseball premium was part of a 1934 cardboard advertising sign featuring Lou Gehrig.THE SIGN IS NOT INCLUDED BUT MERELY FOR REFERENCE. Auction is for the ball and bag ONLY. Various baseball items could be won by submitting BIG LEAGUE GUM WRAPPERS. According to the reference sign those items included Knot Hole Membership, Big League Cap, Horsehide Baseball (this item in the auction), leather glove, baseball pants and shirt. The ball has a "Knot Hole League of America - Standard" stamp. on the Sweet Spot is "Knot Hole Special" and the panel below " 9in. 5 oz. Horsehide Cover". Ball condition overall is excellent with some staining and surface wear. The original presentation/mailing bag is printed with "From the Goudey Gum Co. 52 Everett St., Allston Station, Boston, Mass. Bag has some staining present but still presents very nicely I have not see another one of these Goudey baseball premiums in the hobby.
