Description: 1896 Original Maîtres de l'Affiche, Plate 50 "Les Fetes De Paris" Eugène Grasset Maîtres de l'Affiche (Masters of the Poster) refers to 256 color lithographic plates used to create an art publication during the Belle Époque in Paris, France. These prints were sold in packages of four and delivered monthly to subscribers. Designed for a subscription audience it showcased the most influential posters of the era in a collectible small format. Eugene Grasset (1845 – 1917) was a Swiss decorative artist during the Belle Epoque. Considered a pioneer in Art Nouveau design, and noted for his intricate pattern work, inclusion of precious material in unique combinations, Grasset was featured in many publications of Maîtres de l'Affiche.
