The biggest star autos include: 2 Ken Griffey Jr, 2 George Brett, 2 Nolan Ryan, 2 Cal Ripken Jr, 2 Rickey Henderson; with other great stars including Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire, 2nd yr Sammy Sosa, 2nd yr Frank Thomas, 2nd yr Larry Walker, and of course the biggest card of the set Chipper Jones RC. Over 100 stars including some rare signers, expensive autos, etc. Glavine, Maddux, Mattingly, Molitor, McGriff, Ozzie Smith, Smoltz, Baines, LaRussa, Juan Gonzalez, Eckersley, Palmiero, Vizquel, Alomar, Justice, Gooden, Fisk, Larkin, Will Clark, Roger Clemens, Dale Murphy, Craig Biggio, Robin Yount, Bo Jackson, Dave Winfield and Many More! Jose Uribe card is signed by Ryne Sandberg (also featured in the photo of the card), Ryne Sandberg's cards are the only star cards not in pack fresh condition; Nolan Ryan's main card (not the Record Breaker) has a corner ding but in general these cards are pack fresh. The Ken Griffey Jr autos took 18 months to secure due to a delayed signing. The 1991 Desert Shield baseball set was sent to troops serving in the short lived Desert Shield operation that was replaced with the better known Operation Desert Storm. Many soldiers getting these cards didn't collect and tossed them out, those that did collect generally didn't have proper storage options and because of that these cards are even rarer than the low print run they had to begin with. On top of that, 1991 was the first year offering special editions with metallic printing methods (the other was the Donruss Elite series); prior to that the only special editions were foreign issues and boxed sets (unlike 'tiffany editions' these had to be pack searched.) I am very knowledgable about identifying authentic Desert Shield cards, with the high end ones I generally relied on graded examples that I cracked open for getting signed. All of these cards are assured to be authentic. In addition to the original 1991 Desert Shield cards, in 2016 a very limited number of Desert Shield Topps Archives cards were released; the 3 in this collection are Johnny Bench, Rod Carew and Goose Gossage. These may be the only signed ones of these cards, there are no signed ones in the PSA pop report and they rarely come up for sale (these are the only one's I've seen over years.) One of the rarest types of 1991 Desert Shield cards are those with a silver logo, the only one I've ever seen is in this set; Brian McRae. The 2 PSA slabbed cards are both deceased Managers, Roger Craig & Frank Robinson (unanimous ROY & unanimous MVP.) The combination of an extensive collection of rare cards that are all signed make this extremely valuable, it would take years to build such a collection and in some cases wouldn't be able to replace them. Most of these teams have multiple stars, probably averaging 6 stars per team because of the All Star cards making up for teams with only a few stars that year. The only team with a 'filler' is the National League All Star team has Kelly Gruber from the American League on that page because I only had 8 National League All Star cards. I'm pretty firm on this already reduced price, if you're really close then feel free to make an offer; I set the minimum offer lower than what I'm looking for but I'd be willing to discuss at this level.
