Description: Antique Copper English Gallon Measuring Jug Edward VII ER Lead Seals Birmingham Description Offering a special and rare English early 20th Century antique find: a large hand made haystack gallon copper measure jug or pitcher with a rolled lip and lead seals, including the royal "ER" with a crown over it seal and the number "6" which dates it to the reign of Edward VII (1901-1910) and certifies that it holds one gallon and was made in Birmingham, England. The word "gallon" is impressed in the front and is partially covered by a lead seal. The piece measures about 12" high. It is in very good antique condition. It has wonderful character and is very decorative. It has some dings and small dents from use and storage. No leaks. The patina is intact. I have not polished the copper. Be sure to follow me!
