Description: This vintage machete is a rare find from the World War II era purchased from a WWII veteran who was the original owner of the piece. I the Legitimus, made by the renowned Collins & Co brand, features a sturdy carbon steel blade and a durable hard plastic handle encased in leather for comfortable grip. The machete comes with its original leather sheath, adding to its value as a collector's item. The sheath has wear to it which is expected, especially for a war worn piece. There is also writing on the sheath which I believe is the name of the soldier who carried it. The entire piece measures about 30.75” in length with the blade being about 25.5” long.
