Description: Cigarette butt cast in solid bronze These 3 bronze cigarette butts were cast from actual cigarette butts, with all the fine details of paper seams, filter, paper wrinkles (from being put out), and ash tip preserved in these interesting solid bronze sculptures. These are original, one-of-a-kind solid bronze mini-sculptures handmade in my workshop, not to be found anywhere else. Included with the three bronze butts is a vintage McDonald's aluminum ashtray. My cast bronze cigarette butts can be used as standalone mini-sculptures or be displayed along with ashtray collections (or displayed with the included vintage McDonald's ashtray), and are definitely an unusual conversation starter. These butts are not electroplated or bronze dipped, they were cast from the original cigarette butt mold into solid bronze, nothing remains of the cigarette butts other than their original shapes. They will not tarnish or deteriorate like brass or copper, and don't necessarily need polishing over time, they will form a beautiful gold-brown patina that will protect them for millennia. My solid bronze objet d'art small sculptures are developed using the ancient technique of lost wax hot casting. Permanence of the impermanent is actualized by transforming delicate or organic objects that are discarded or otherwise decay into mini-sculptures that can potentially last millennia after being cast in solid bronze. My small bronze sculptures represent a cryptic one way communication with anyone in the future who might come across them, and I'm inviting you to join the discussion and become its temporary steward to that distant future conversation.
