The 3/16" and 1/8" pieces can be snapped together and fit well but leaves a corner in the middle on one edge that could lead to inaccurate spacing. You will need to be aware of which direction you are inserting the spacer in the boards if you plan on using the smaller sizes together without the 1/4".
