Description: This 1982 silkscreen, IV Asamblea General ODILAC Puerto Rico Departamento de Recreacion y Deportes, is in mint condition. It's never been used, has no tears, folds or significant damage. It has 8 small age spots on right white border (See photo) and 10 light tiny age spots on the bottom white border (See photos) and very few in back (See photo). Artist Ismael Hidalgo signed his name on the plate (See photo). BIOGRAPHY: Ismael Hidalgo was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico in 1947. He's a painter and graphic artist. He studied at the New York School of Art and Design and worked in a New York publicity firm and art studio. When he returned to Puerto Rico, he worked at the Department of Education's Graphic Arts Department of Community Education (DIVEDCO) where he was influenced by artistic notables such as Isabel Bernal, Lorenzo Homar, Rafael Tufi~no and Eduardo Vera Cortes. He worked at DIVEDCO from 1979-86. Later, he became senior art designer for a J.C. Penny publicity company. Hidalgo has an art studio in San Juan.
