Description: This exquisite Native American etched pottery bowl is a true one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Crafted by an artisan named TD, this bowl features intricate etchings of a Pueblo village around the inside the bowl. Made of white clay, the inside is painted a burnt orange color and burnished with stone to give is a smooth and semi-gloss finish. The outside of the bowl is the natural white clay. The bowl measures 6 3/4" diameter and is 1 3/4" high. After extensive research I was unable to identify the artist or tribe with certainty. Based on the design I believe it may be Navajo or Ute in origin. The bottom is etched with the artist's initials TD and the year it was made 2007. If anyone viewing this can identify the tribe and/or artist I would love to hear from you so I can not only learn more about this art but to give potential buyers' a more accurate description. This handmade bowl is a rare and valuable collectible for anyone interested in Native American art. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites. The plate stand used in the photo is not included in the sale.
