Frame 22.75" x 32.25"Painting 20" x 30" Condition:Oil on paper bayou landscape painting by A J Drysdale (1870-1934). Signed by the artist at lower left and dated 1915. Drysdale used a watered down oil paint technique that resembles watercolor painting. The painting has a small edge tear at the top center near the edge of the glass and frame (see photo). The mounting is slightly loose in the frame and should be sured up by a professional. This painting was inherited by the previous owner who had a relative in Georgia. For more information, search (aj drysdale pbs show) in google for an Antique Roadshow appraisal of one of his paintings. The painting appraised on the Antique Roadshow was similar but smaller and also one of his later works. It appraised for $12,000 - $15,000. Don't take my word. Watch the video.
