Description: Old Paris Porcelain Hand Painted Floral & Gold 7 5/8 Inch Plate Circa 1820 A Antique French Old Paris / Vieux Paris porcelain plate with relief molded scrollwork edge. Nicely decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, white, yellow, purple, orange, and blue. With gold gilding along the edge, to the relief molding, and with gold gilt flowers in between each scroll. Unmarked. President Monroe (1817 to 1825) had a set of plates ordered from France with the same relief molded scrollwork border ordered. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 7 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
