Description: This listing features Opuntia Humifusa, also known as Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus. They produce a delicious fruit and the pads make great tortoise food! They are cold-hardy and draught-resistant, making them perfect for indoor and outdoor gardens anywhere in the country, these babies will survive in your winter garden as far north as Buffalo New York!!! These are transplanted and farmed in their natural habitat on my property here in southern Oklahoma! I rescue them from properties where they aren't wanted and are usually mowed over. Safety warning!!! Opuntia has tiny glochids that irritate the skin. Be cautious and wear protection when handling pads. I prefer to use tongs. Buy 2 or more lots and get an extra pad for each lot!! Please see my feedback history from last season's cactus sales!!!
