Description: Pair of scale pans - larger one is painted black and has a serial number stamped in the base. Approx 23" long. Base diameter is approx 8". Slight bend to the upper lip on one side, otherwise good condition for age. Smaller one is brass plated/painted. Approx 12" long, 5" diameter. Top surface has lost some of the original finish. See photos. I assume these would have sat on top of a beam type scale but could have also had chains wrapped around sides I suppose. No wear pattern to suggest chains ever involved.
