Description: Hard to Find Exquisite Antique Edwardian Sterling Over the Cup Tea Strainer. The Strainer is by an American company SSMC (Sterling Silver Manufacturing Company later bought out by SAART Bros.) The pattern is "No. 1 " made in 1900. The strainer is in very good shiny antique condition with detailed repousse around the rim and measures 2.3/4" diameter across rim and 6 5/8" long. It has a shallow dent along rim and very shallow dent in bowl. Very minor considering age. This piece will add old time elegance to your tea time experience! Be sure and check out my other antique sterling listings!
