Description: For sale here is an 1886-S G$5 Liberty Half Eagle. It is graded MS-61 and is housed in a PCGS Old Green Holder (OGH) and is certified by CAC. Cert is 5272246. It is lustrous and incredibly attractive. I never got around to resubmitting it but my personal opinion still stands - I believe this coin to be under-graded. The coin has attractive red toning from the balance copper, silver and platinum that ended up mixed in these coins. Older metallurgy at the US mint was not as precise and perfect as today. As a result, it produced magnificent coins like this one. They are often referred to as "green gold" or "electrum". Uncirculated coins with this type of toning are rare. I ship Monday thru Saturday via USPS.
