Description: From the 1920's to 1930's. Rare gold tone (marked nickel silver) dance compact with black cord wristlet for carrying. Once open it becomes a makeup case for rouge, powder, with mirror (missing) and slot for a comb (missing). For some reason the round compartments for makeup have small round glass inserts - maybe for photos instead at one time. Marked inside Evans Nickel Silver. The front is nicely embossed with a floral design embellished with black and white enamel. Plus the center oval has an enamel silhouette of an Art Deco woman with perhaps feathers in her hair. Excellent condition as well as the Wrist cord and tassel. Opens and closes perfectly. A rare addition for sure to a compact and purse collection. The actual compact measures 3" high x 2" wide.
