The clock is mechanical and key-wind, with a 31-day movement and a chime sequence that plays on the hour and half hour. Made in Japan. This clock is in great working order, make sure it is hung level on the wall. Unfortunately, the decorative top is broken off, as I can surmise the top is optional.
