Charming authentic embossed TRUE VERMONTER maple sap bucket from a maple stand a few miles from us Made by the Vermont Hardware Company in Burlington VT The company moved to its final location in 1916 The TRUE VERMONTER brand was being used by the company as early as 1918 (5th Annual 1918 The American Hardware Jobbers Directory) They also made tools which were embossed with "The True Vermonter Brand, Goods That Wear, Burlington Vermont... please see photos of examples These are very rare buckets... this is the first we have seen these after collecting many vintage brands for over 20 years... we are excited to offer them! Beautiful tall size... measures 13" high x 11" top diameter x 8 1/2" bottom diameter Very nice 1" wide band at the top... has a hanging hole at the back where it was attached to a maple tree to gather the sap Excellent addition to a vintage Vermont maple collection Stunning historical piece for fall, harvest, Thanksgiving, and holiday decor... think mums, gourds, pumpkins, bittersweet, pine cones, and holiday greens.
