Description: Around the 1930's, carriage boots were worn by women in winter over ordinary shoes or slippers as protection against the cold weather. Originally worn in horse-drawn carriages, hence their name, they were also later worn in early automobiles. The carriage boots in this auction are a size 6 and have the updated additional weather protection of a rubber sole signed B. F. Goodrich Company. Condition is good for age but not perfect. On the Inside at the heel some of the lining is gone on both shoes, one small hole in the heel on one boot. There is some fading of the black, almost a red tint , unknown if they came this way. Fur is in tact but it delicate. Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
