Description: VTG 1945 WW2 US Military AMES Entrenching Tool Folding Shovel (Seized Collar) Original WW2 entrenchment shovel, shovel is in good condition for its age. Handle and steel spade are solid and free of cracks and dents. The COLLAR IS SEIZED, I was not able to loosen it and instead of damaging the shovel it is being left in an unfolded and fixed position. Still an awesome display piece, and or usable just won’t be able to fold it. Paint looks to be original but not completely sure, the paint wear looks to be consistent with use over along time with paint missing in spots on the hardwood handle. The steel portion of the shovel does have missing paint and light surface rust. Is stamped U.S. AMES 1945.
